About Lee Davenport-

Lee Davenport serves as Program
Director of National Financial
Partnerships at One Economy
Corporation, building programs
focused on financial management and
asset building initiatives. Lee is
directing the creation of an online
financial coach with chat and phone
based credit counseling and debt
management components. As Project
Manager for the E*TRADE funded
Earned Income Tax Credit initiative,
he developed and scaled partnerships
with municipal tax coalitions to create
free online self-prepared tax filing
programs in eight urban and rural
markets. The program returned over
$5 million to 3,463 One Economy
clients in 2007, more than double
previous year’s results.

Prior to this work, Lee served as
Assistant Director of Income Policy at
FoodChange in New York City,
managing the nation’s largest free
low-income tax preparation network,
which served more than 44,000 clients
annually. He also served as Assistant
Director, Food Access Program,
directing teams of community
advocates enrolling thousands of
households in food stamps and other
income-based nutritional programs.

Lee completed his bachelor’s degree
at The University of Texas at Austin
and a Masters of Science in Urban
Policy at the New School for Social
Research in New York City.
